He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Jane "Sally" McConnell (Stewart); his son Randy Stewart McConnell; and his parents, Gaylord McConnell and Mable McConnell (Hewitt). He is survived by: his son James R. McConnell (Amy); his brothers, James E. McConnell (Chris) and Charles G. McConnell (Patty); his daughter-in-law Krista McConnell; and his brother David Lee McConnell. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
