She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward P. Avery and Elizabeth R. Avery; and her siblings, Albert "Bucky" Clemons, Carolyn "Tynie" Smith, Barbara "Jean" Franell and Briget E. Avery.
She is survived by: her husband Gregory Godfrey of Homestead; her children, Robert "Robby" L. Gatling III of Washington and Christine "Crissy" M. Gatling; her granddaughter Brooklynn M. Gatling of Washington; and her brothers, Larry Avery (Sharon) of Washington, Charles Avery (Lesa) of Washington and Gregory Avery (Niki Stewart) of Washington. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
