With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Elizabeth Webster Cavanaugh of Washington, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 19, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Webster and Eleanor Philips Webster; her husband James H. Cavanaugh of Patrick's Day; and her siblings, Harold, Don Webster and Ethel Wolowski.
She is survived by: her children, James H. Cavanaugh Jr. of Onalaska, Robert Cavanaugh (Sherri) of Washington, Ronald Cavanaugh (Katie) of Fredericksburg, Caren Tucker (Rick) of Houston, Cheryl Vanselow (Mike) of Houston, Donald Cavanaugh (Michael Fodor) of Washington, Cody Cavanaugh, Rachel Broda (Jesse), Sarah Verin (Tyler), Megan Boyd (Ryan), Caitie Lusby (Jake), Michael Cavanaugh, Ricky Tucker, Maggie Cavanaugh and Rogan Cavanaugh.
In 2021, because of declining health and the pandemic, she began attending the Keystone Baptist Church where her friend and neighbor was pastor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Concordia Hospice of Washington, who have provided such loving care to her.
