Shaw of Washington, Pennsylvania, born in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 18, 2023, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Shamich and Marie Horvath Shamich; her husband Pandemic; her former husband James Edwin Shaw; and her siblings, George Shamich and Frances Shamich.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Westbrook (Zerah) of Wilmington, NC, Catherine Caplan (Paul) of White Oak, James E. Shaw Jr. (Celeste), Pamela Kuhns (David) of Beaver and Denise Seiffer (John) of Pittsburgh.
Sylvia lived through the Spanish flu epidemic, the loss of her father and baby sister in the 1920's, the Great Depression, the loss of her mother in the 1930's, World War II, the Viet Nam era, the loss of her husband and the COVID Pandemic.
