We announce the death of Boyd T. Hess Jr. of Waterford, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Bernard "Willie" Hess and Brenda Garloch; and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Mayer, Sr. and Janet Hess. He is survived by: his children, Michelle Wiesen (Tom), Amy Brady (Robert), Bethany Hess (Jeff) and Boyd Hess III; his grandchildren, Logan Brady, McKenna Pease (Isaac Hinkson), Lauren Wiesen (Kasey Seymour), Landon Brady, Boyd "Bo" Hess IV and Madison Hess; his siblings, Edward Hess (Joan), Evelyn Mayer, Ardell Hess (Joann), Lloyd Hess, Florence Wilkosz (George), Dale Hess (Lori) and Arnold Hess (Jeanette); his siblings-in-law, Paul Garloch, Leroy, Patrick Fratus, Tricia Kinem (Dave) and Christine Bowen; and his nephews, Junior and Dave Mayer.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc. (3801 W 26th St, Erie, PA 16506). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Dunn Valley Cemetery (3660 Dunn Valley Rd, Erie, PA 16509).
