It is with sadness that the passing of Edward Steven Kovschak (Waterford, Pennsylvania) is shared. Edward, born on February 9, 1949 in Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 22, 2026. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kovschak and Katherine Kovschak; and his brothers, John Kovschak II and David Kovschak. He is survived by: his wife Robyn Kovschak (Tarbell); his daughters, Lisa Izbicki, Stacy Howell (Eric), Katherine Eldred (Doug) and Stephanie Murray (Mark); and his grandchildren, Jake, Genevieve, Vivienne, Hannah, Lauren, Gabrielle, Olivia, Brooke, Luke, Benjamin, Nathan, Zachary and Taylor.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Van Matre Funeral Home (105 Walnut St, Waterford, PA 16441). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Edward's memory are encouraged to make donations to the Mill Village Fire Department.
