He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Johnson and Jennie Johnson (Bullis); his siblings, Dwight Johnson and Vivian Peck (Johnson); his parents-in-law, Clifford and Theresa Racht (Kellachow); his siblings-in-law, Marvin Hawk, Robert Racht, Wyland Clift, Janice Johnson (Calton), Esther Racht (Olver) and Kathy Racht (Mark); his nephews, PJ Krajkovich, Wayne Johnson, Jr. and David Racht; and his son-in-law Richard Keenan.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Johnson (Racht); his daughters, Amanda M. Johnson (Bob Buli) of South Canaan, PA, Gwendolyn Keenan of Connecticut and Susan L. Curtis (Steve Curtis) of South Canaan, PA.; his grandchildren, Andrea Mrowka (Nathaniel), Stephanie Laird (Michael), Michelle Mink Trestini (Daniel), Shanna Resetar (Chad), Alaina Lengner (Michael), Alexander Curtis and Nickolas Curtis; his great grandchildren, Elijah, Serene, Braelynn, Paxton, Charlie, Emmiline and Hannah; his brothers, Frank, Wayne and Albert Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, William, Alfred, Edwin Racht, Shirley Clift (Racht), Alicia Hawk (Racht) and Phyllis Krajkovich (Racht).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Howell Family Funeral Home (269 Belmont St, Waymart, PA 18472). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at the East Canaan Cemetery.
