With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eugene S. Vannatta of Waymart, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 12, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ward W. Vannatta and Isabel Vannatta (Card); and his sisters, Carolyn Ciccone and Gladys Stanton. He is survived by: his wife Bernice Olver Vannatta of Waymart; his sons, Scott Vannatta (Linda) of Jermyn and Stephen Brandon Vannatta (Daniela) of Honesdale; his grandchildren, Nicholas Nolan and Ashley Vannatta; his great grandchildren, Caige Nolan and Ellie Nolan; and his brother Willard "Bill" Vannatta (Kathy) of Florida.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Howell Family Funeral Home (269 Belmont St, Waymart, PA 18472).
In lieu of flowers, financial contributions may be made directly to Gene's family at this difficult time.
