James W. Bannon Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James W. Bannon of Waymart, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 6, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Bannan and Estelle V. Bannan (Borowski); his son James A. Bannon; and his brother Frank E. Bannan, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Pozza; his daughter-in-law Joyce Bannon; his grandchildren, Renee Chernin (Richard), James Bannon (Kayla) and Gary Barr (Nicole Kopinski); his great grandchildren, Tyler, Max, Luke, Hunter and Paisley; his siblings, Thomas Bannan and Patricia Smith (Ronald); and his sister-in-law Helen Bannan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Calendar the Waymart Cemetery (282 Owego Turnpike, Waymart, PA 18472).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jimmy's memory to St. Mary's Church, PO Box 160, Waymart, PA 18472.
