He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Martzen, Sr. and Virginia Martzen (Stachura); and his siblings, Mary Ann Gerlits and Robert Martzen. He is survived by: his wife Helen R. Medalis; and his children, Thomas Martzen of North Carolina, Eileen Joyce of Eynon, Diane Molewski of Bethlehem and William Martzen of Washington State. He is also survived by several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Church (242 Carbondale Rd, Waymart, PA 18472). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at the Waymart Cemetery.
