With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernice Mather of Wayne, Pennsylvania, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on April 9, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Glenn Engvaldsen; her former life partner Reverend Elwood Mather; her parents, William Egner and Odny Egner Solheim (Monsen); and her brother William Egner.

She is survived by : her children, Craig Engvaldsen of Rowland and Beth Ferry (Jeff) of Glen Eyre; her grandchildren, Cory Moffett, Kristen Dowd, Ryan Dowd, Connor Dowd, Thomas Dowd and Julia Rettle (Ethan); her great grandchild Sophia Rettle; and her nephews, John, Randy and Eric Egner.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (193 Church Rd, Rowland, PA 18457). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at the Rowland Cemetery Church.
