He was predeceased by: his wife Helen B Pettia; his son James; and his brother John. He is survived by: his children, Stephen (Suzanne), Deborah Dunn (John) and Peggy Pettia; his grandchildren, James (Jennifer), Christopher (Ashley), Kathleen (Michael), Sara (Jarred), John, Ryan and Jessica; his great grandchildren, Jackson, Charlotte, Nicky, Louie, Alanna, Evelyn and Chandler; and his siblings, Anthony and Rose.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, or St Isaac Jogues Church.
