She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoarce Edward Banks and Anna Elizabeth Tyre Banks; her husband Edward B. Byrd, Sr.; and her siblings, George Banks, Helen Burrell, Irene Reynolds, Constance White, Etta Banks, Margaret "Peggy" Coles and Shirley Barnes.
She is survived by: her children, Edward B. Byrd, Jr. (Mary Pricilla Byrd), John H. Byrd, Vanessa M. Byrd and Helen E. Byrd; her sisters, Cynthia Galloway and Doris Taylor; and her sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Byrd and Mamie Alice Hughes.
