It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dessie A. Coffman of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 28, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Dessie departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Dessie. Though Dessie may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Burns and Helen K. Ickes (Carbaugh); her husband Harold L. Coffman, Sr.; her son Harold L. Coffman Jr.; and her stepbrother Gregory S. Ickes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melinda S. Knott (Rich) of Waynesboro and Diane M. McClure of Chambersburg. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.
