He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. McFerren and Esther C. McFerren (Baer); his daughter Bobbi McFerren; and his brother Donald E. McFerren. He is survived by: his children, Lacy DeRigo, Shawn Statler and Jody McFerren; his grandchildren, Skye DeRigo, Rayna Merideth and Haley Whitehair; and his great grandchildren, Emma Bowers, Alex Merideth and Everett Whitehair.
He also had a deep appreciation for the company's history, collecting Frick Company memorabilia over the years and generously donating his collection to the Frick Museum, where it can still be viewed and appreciated today.
