He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin O. Moore and E. Ruth Moore; and his grandparents, Leroy and Elsie Moore. He is survived by: his sisters, Maxine Marshall, Edwina Barton and Pandora Messick; his nephews, Warren Spencer, Ronnie Spencer, John Barton and Sean Messick; and his niece Audra Lucas. He is also survived by several cousins, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
