He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin M. Benson and Matilda C. Benson (Silvasy); his wife Mary S. Benson (Simpson); and his brothers, Daniel Benson and Patrick Benson.
He is survived by: his children, Patrick J. Benson (Kristine) of Frederick, MD, Kathleen A. Benson of Hagerstown, MD and Kenneth R. Benson of Panama City, FL; and his brothers, Jack Benson (Hiriko) of Grapeville, PA and Tim Benson (Linda) of Hempfield Township, PA. He is also survived by four grandchildren; one great-grandson.
