He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph N. Sheffler, Sr. and Flo B. Sheffler (Blubaugh); his wife Mary Ann Sheffler (Jones); and his siblings, Betty Wooden and Joseph Sheffler, Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, Terry Jay Sheffler of Waynesboro, Thomas Lee Sheffler of Hagerstown, MD and Richard Alan Sheffler of Waynesboro; and his siblings, Judith White of Waynesboro and Marvin Sheffler of Oliver Springs, TN. He is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
