He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore R. Smith and Mary C. Smith (Gaither). He is survived by: his wife Nancy L. Smith (Showe); his children, Tina Horst (Daniel) and William C. Smith; his grandchildren, Douglas Smith and Michelle Lovelace (CJ); his great grandchild Tripp Lovelace; his grandson Eric "Buck" Horst (Zaykia); and his close friend Shianna Reed.
