We announce the death of Geraldine Frye Calvert of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 93. Geraldine will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert O. Frye and Hazel Saunders Frye. She is survived by: her husband Clarence E. Calvert Jr.; her children, Diana (Albert Thompson) of Enola, PA and C. Gerald (Carol Calvert) of Waynesburg, PA; her grandsons, Keith Lemley (Taryn McMahon), William Thompson (Jennifer), David Calvert (Julie) and Jonathan Calvert (Madeline); and her siblings, Marjorie Frye, Alberta Frye, Freda Thomas, Evelyn Pettit, Verna Vittek, Dolly Grimes, Donald Frye and Everett "Red" Frye. She is also survived by 5 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home (197 N Maiden St, Waynesburg, PA 15370). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 200 S/E 1st St., Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
