He was predeceased by: his parents, George Washington Patterson, Sr. and Susie Jane Patterson (Wood); his son Richard Allen Patterson; and his siblings, David "Lester" Patterson, Sr., Earl Patterson, Sr., George Patterson, Jr., Charles "Raymond" Patterson, William "Bill" Patterson, Mildred "Millie" Sokol, Lucille Ferguson and Evelyn Patterson.

He is survived by: his wife Daisy "Ellen" Wilson Patterson; and his children, Robert "Whitey" Patterson, Jr. (Sharon), Bruce "Ed" Patterson (Debra), Donna L. Hurd (Joe), Ronald C. Patterson, Janet "Tillie" Patterson (Jackie) and Deborah Armel (Barry). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Yoskovich Funeral Home (300 S Vine St, Carmichaels, PA 15320).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Consider a donation, as requested by the family.
