With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Julia S. Detweiler of Weatherly, Pennsylvania, born in Perkasie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 6, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Lester Detweiler; her parents, Michael Smakula and Sophia Smakula (Kotko); her siblings, John Smakula, Wasley Smakula, Harold Smakula, Mary Walters, Laura Smakula, Florence Smakula and Theresa Nalepa; her nephews, Michael Smakula, David Smakula and John Smakula; and her great-nephews, Scott Smakula and William Hetherington.
She is survived by: her nieces, Deborah Hetherington of Weatherly, PA, Ethel Buzdigon of Bedminster, PA, Julia Ryan of Silverdale, PA and Donna Buzdigon of Bucks County, PA; and her nephew Scott Buzdigon of Quakertown, PA. She is also survived by her 11 great-nieces & great-nephews; and several great-great-nieces & great-great-nephews.
