He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry William Heise and Eugertha Alta Morris Heise; and his son Michael Wesley Heise. He is survived by: his wife Julia Raye Hackney Heise; his daughter Christiana Raye Heise Mills (Evan Mills); and his granddaughters, Riley Raye Mills and Audrey Kate Mills.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
