In the sacred silence of farewell, Ruth is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Ruth's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Granvel H. Davis and Myra Davis (Weller); her husband Arthur L. Shumway; and her siblings, Earl Davis and Alice Hubbard.
She is survived by: her sons, William Shumway (Jan) of Wellsboro, Robert Shumway (Diane) of Sugar Run, PA and Russell Shumway (Amy) of Greer, SC; and her siblings, Glenn Davis (Vivian) of McElhatten, PA and Rheta Boyles (Bob) of Williamsport. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
