He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Shaffer and Betty L. Shaffer (Weber); and his sister Sharon Hoffman. He is survived by: his wife Cathy J. Shaffer (Boise); his daughter Sharon E. Beck (Andrew) of Ft. Riley, KS.; his stepchildren, Jason Garner of Boiling Springs, SC and Nancy Garner of Wellsville; his granddaughters, Emma Beck, Mavis Beck and Ashton Beck; and his stepgrandson Dalton Garner.
