He was predeceased by: his wife Sheila Palmieri-Franks; and his siblings, Caren Louise Franks and Steven Fred Franks. He is survived by: his children, Amy Hulmes (Robert) of Wyomissing, Eric Franks (Emily) of West Lawn, Adam Palmieri (Raquel) of Reading and Maegan Spidale (Alex Brown) of Reading; his sister Susan Wood; his grandchildren, Jackson Hulmes, Beckham Hulmes, Marley Jane Franks, Mia Palmieri, Gianna Spidale and Bella Spidale; his nieces, Candace A. Kayhart (Wood) and Heather N. Meck (Wood); and his blond Dachshund.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home (739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA 19611). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 5:30 PM at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. (739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA 19611).
