He was predeceased by: his parents, D. Luther Hartz and Grace Hartz (Barthold); his former wife Doris M. Hartz (Ulrich); his sisters, Shirley Kring and Barbara Behney; his siblings-in-law, Paul Kring, Jerry Behney, Eric Ulrich, Richard Ulrich, Pam Dunlop, Mary Ulrich and Audrey Ulrich; and his nephew Rick Ulrich.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Hartz (Searles); his nieces and nephews, Jeff, Joel, Jamie Kring, John Ulrich, Christine Leonhardt and Kim Pirtle; his sister-in-law Betty Ulrich; and his godson Jacob Lux.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Phoebe Berks Chapel (1 Reading Dr, Wernersville, PA 19565).
