She is survived by: her sons, Stephen Comer (Valerie) and Paul Comer (Andrea); her grandchildren, Owen, Helenmarie, Mary and Andrew; and her brothers, John Scragg and David Scragg.
In accordance with Barbara's final wishes, memorial gifts and donations may be made to the National Arbor Day Foundation to "Plant a Tree".
