Caroline left this world on April 21, 2024 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Caroline had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Caroline may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by : her husband George Alan Wagner; her parents, William Butler and Nell Butler; and her brother William Butler (Marilyn). She is survived by : her daughter Catherine Bain (Bill); and her adoptive children, John Emory Parks V (Margaret) and Ninia Parks Elsey (Raymond). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Church of the Loving Shepherd (1066 S New St, West Chester, PA 19382). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. Her mental strength, buoyant sense of humor and constant ability to refocus her thoughts on gratitude served as a tremendous source of strength, inspiration and resilience for her many friends and family members throughout and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
