She was predeceased by : her husband Ronald R. Slifer; her parents, David L. Markle and Lila Dietrich Markle; and her siblings, Inez, Hugh, Sarah, David and Robert.

She is survived by : her sons, Richard (Diana), Gary, Karl, Jeffrey (Tish) and Eric. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
