He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine "Gerri" Carter; and his parents, Joseph J. Carter and Anna Laffey Carter. He is survived by: his sister Virginia Abbott of Glendora, CA; and his sons, Charles Carter Jr. (Michelle), David Carter (Karen), Anthony Carter (Leigh) and Scott Carter. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and two great‑grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. (410 N Church St, West Chester, PA 19380). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at the St. Agnes Cemetery (404 Willowbrook Ln, West Chester, PA 19380).
