She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Elisha Mounkes and Hattie Mounkes; her husband Earl Curtis Nichols; her children, Gwendolyn, Paul, Linda Welsford (Glenn Welsford) of Columbia, SC, Marcia Piepgrass (William Piepgrass) of Arlington, VA, Zanet Lester (Allan Lester) of Terre Haute, IN and Andrew Nichols (Elizabeth Nichols) of Sterling, VA; and her grandchildren, David Welsford, Gail Ridlehuber, Stephen Piepgrass, Anna Cave, Rachel Petersen, Jonathan Lester, Mark Lester, Curtis Nichols, Catherine Goodall, Clara Nichols and Julianna Nichols. She was also cherished by twenty great grandchildren.
