It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald H. Hazzard of West Chester, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 15, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Gerald may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gerald touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John David and Ruth Elizabeth Hazzard; his wife Elsie Hazzard; and his brother John Lawrence Hazzard. He is survived by: his children, Lynn Hazzard Hudson, Lee Hazzard Schardong, Gerald Hazzard, Jr., Jeffery Hazzard, Barbara Hazzard Trautmann and John Hazzard; and his sister Marilyn Hazzard Smith. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Donohue Funeral Home - West Chester (1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382).
