He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Ann Welch Geist; his parents, James Geist and Florence Mae Cressman Geist; his son Jack Geist; his grandson Jason Geist; and his siblings, Edward Geist, James Geist, Robert Geist, Thomas Geist and Dorothy Geist McGonigal.
He is survived by: his son Thomas Albert Geist (Debora); his grandchildren, Brian, Carly and Kayla; and his niece Terri Johnson (Chuck). He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
