He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edwin Matthews and Evelyn Matthews; his wife Helen Matthews; his children, Christine Blevins, Karen Slevinsky (Richard, Jr.), John Matthews and Steven Matthews; and his grandchildren, Emma Slevinsky, Grace Slevinsky, Hannah Slevinsky, Charlotte Slevinsky, Samantha Matthews, Taylor Matthews, John Matthews and Wyatt Blevins.
