He was predeceased by: his parents, George Koons and Catherine Koons; and his brothers, Tom and Dick. He is survived by: his children, Debi, Mike and Chris; his daughters-in-law, Sasha and Wendy Koons; his grandchildren, Maggie, Erin, Jack, Cassidy, Hailey and Max; and his siblings, Jerry and Fran. He is also survived by his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
