It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John William Gillespie of West Chester, Pennsylvania, born in Pikeville, Kentucky, who passed away on December 13, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Columbus and Anna Margaret Call Gillespie; his wife Gloria Doepel; and his sister Wilana Hansen. He is survived by : his daughter Anna Nichols (David); his grandchildren, Katherine Nichols (Zac Raouf), Daniel Nichols and Molly Nichols; and his sister Patricia Branham (David).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
