He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Columbus and Anna Margaret Call Gillespie; his wife Gloria Doepel; and his sister Wilana Hansen. He is survived by: his daughter Anna Nichols (David); his grandchildren, Katherine Nichols (Zac Raouf), Daniel Nichols and Molly Nichols; and his sister Patricia Branham (David).
