He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos D. Strode and Anne Powell Strode. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Strode (Barr); and his children, Jennifer Elmore (Alec), Matthew Strode (Carolyn), Daniel Strode, Emily A. Strode (Ismael Ahrazem) and Laura Shackleton (Daniel). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
