He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Short and Grace McCoy Short; his wife Hazel C. Harshbarger Short; and his brothers, Bob (Emma) and Emmett.
He is survived by : his sons, David R. Short (Penny) and Donald W. Short (Karen); his great grandchildren, Sarah, Kaelynne and Jake; his brother Bernard (Dorothy); and his sister-in-law Lorena. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
