He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Davis Merion and Tacy Walton Merion; his siblings, Robert Merion and Marjorie Ebert; and his niece Karen Call (Ebert).
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette T. Merion (Martinkus); his children, Renee Merion Everett (Gregory Everett) and Mark B. Merion (Cali Stevenson Merion); his grandson Tyler Stevenson; and his former wife Joan Merion. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
