He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel P. Brown, II and Emma S. Brown; and his sister Mary Helene Brown. He is survived by: his wife Joan Heitzman Brown; his sons, Samuel Potter Brown of West Chester, Dr. William Francis Brown of Forest, VA and Matthew Heitzman Brown of Lancaster; and his sister Barbara McDonald. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
