She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Scafati and Grace Scafati (Nee Torres); her husband John V. Hughes, Jr.; her sister Marguerite Scafati (Nee Genetti); and her son-in-law Gregory Weidman.

She is survived by: her siblings, Deanne Collins (Nee Scafati), George Blackwood and Charlie Schoenbrodt; her children, Barbara Mazzone (Peter Mazzone), Catherine Weidman (John Nelson), John V. Hughes, III (Jacqueline Hughes), Carole Parlett (Norman Parlett) and Jennifer Chatman (Christopher Chatman); and her grandchildren, Michael Parlett (Melissa), Jacqueline Oberholtzer (Jesse), Kevin Parlett (Carlee), Cristina Chavarriaga (Alejandro), Joseph Weidman (Ari Nachman), Liam Chatman, Colin Chatman and Caroline Chatman. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
