He was predeceased by: his parents, David E. Abrahamsen and Patience M. Balentine; and his brother James Abrahamsen. He is survived by: his wife Renee G. Abrahamsen; his children, Kathryn and Christian; and his sisters, Patience Abrahamsen Fisher and Amy Abrahamsen Brady. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, his nieces and nephews.
