He was predeceased by: his mother Jane Ann Balzer Matters. He is survived by: his wife Joan Andrews Matters of West Chester, PA.; his father Joseph R. Matters Sr. of West Chester; his brother Joseph R. Matters, II; his brother-in-law Thomas R. Andrews (Theresa); his sibling's children, Amanda Cetel (Paramore Mike Griffiths) and Taylor Andrews (Jessica); and his uncle George H. Matters of Houston, TX.. He is also survived by 3 great nephews and 2 great nieces and many cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Elks and Moose Lodge 401 (401 W Washington St, West Chester, PA 19380).
