He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Schaeffer, Jr. and Louise Trostle Schaeffer. He is survived by: his wife Laura Michel Schaeffer; his sisters, Sally Sessler and Victoria Kimble; and his children, Michael Schaeffer and Dr. Holly Schaeffer-Raymond.
