He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. John F. Moran Jr. and Virginia Mendenhall Moran; and his siblings, John "Jay" Moran (Elizabeth "Betsie"), Margaret "Susie" Moran and Anita Moran.
He is survived by: his wife Susan K. Johnstonbaugh Moran; his daughters, Gwen Moran of Oxford and Michelle Gent of West Grove; his grandchildren, Megan, Tyler and Jacob Gent; and his sisters, Judith "Judy" Moran, Virginia "Jo" Lumley and Kathryn "Katie" Moran. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
