She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Thomas O'Malley and Harriet O'Malley (McLaughlin); her daughters, Patience Stanicar (Paul), Jeri Spang (Aaron), Kay Laycak (Phil) and Elizabeth Laycak; her stepchild Jamie Gross (Adam); her grandchildren, Violet, Dylan, Lucille, Myles, Timothy, Amanda and AJ; and her siblings, Michael O'Malley (Tracy), Margaret "Peggy" O'Malley, LaVonne Markel, Patrick and Maureen O'Malley.

“I offer our sincerest condolences to Kathy's immediate family & to the O'Malley family. It was a blessing to have Kathy in our lives the last few years. She is a very talented person, very hospitable (not to mention her baking), & a loving mother, grandmother, & wife. My wife Kathy always enjoyed our visits & especially enjoyed talking quilting, crocheting, & any type of crafting. It certainly is our loss.”
