He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Messina and Fanny Ferrara Messina; his wife Joan Lavin Messina; and his siblings, Carl, Patrick, Rev. Angelo Messina and Mary Mantione.
He is survived by: his daughter Phyllis Forlenza (Rudy) of Exeter; his granddaughters, Angela Forlenza Stevens (Chris), Dallas and Jill Forlenza (Joey Topa); and his sister Lillian Orr. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (605 Luzerne Ave, West Pittston, PA 18643). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
