With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Shirley V. Caves (West Reading, Pennsylvania), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Shirley left this world on December 1, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joel Leonard Caves; her parents, Peter Verdehem and Mary Anna Verdehem (Marion); and her siblings, Marcia Ver Straete, Virginia Pasarek, Lilian Wilson, Rose Adams, Robert Verdehem and Carolyn Gawlik.
She is survived by: her sister Arlene Murphy; her daughters, Jennifer Gerhart (Loren Gerhart) and Rebecca Cinelli; her grandchildren, Ryan Paris (Dana Paris), Alex Paris (Kayla Schneider), Nathan Cinelli and Peter Cinelli; and her great grandchild Hudson Paris.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. (739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA 19611).
