It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward G. Bernhard of West View, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edward G. Bernhard to pay them a last tribute.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Kay Bernhard (Richard); his children, Richard Bernhard (Karen), Donna Tessmer (Richard), Sandy Harvey (John), Barbara Fritsch (Gary) and Mary Hughes (Bryan); his grandchildren, Kyle Tessmer, Seth Tessmer, Rebecca Fritsch-Stevenson, Sarah Tresky, Jacob Fritsch, Joseph Fritsch, Grace Fritsch and Benjamin Bernhard; his great grandchildren, Henry, Magdalene, George, Theodore Tresky, James Stevenson and Riley Bernhard; and his brother Donald Barkman.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation (388 Center Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15229). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Athanasius Church (7 Chalfonte Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15229).
